后殖民主义视角下《真情》的解读

【摘要】:索尔·贝娄(Saul Bellow,1915-2005)是美国著名的犹太裔作家,他的多数作品都反映出犹太人在美国这个熔炉里的生活处境,在美国文坛颇具影响力。《真情》是索尔·贝娄1997年出版的中篇小说,这部小说虽然讲述的是哈里·特雷尔曼半个世纪的爱恋,但是从侧面反映出长久的文化殖民对美国犹太人的影响及其生活现状。 本文主要是从后殖民主义角度来解读《真情》这部作品,将论文分为五部分。作为引言的第一部分主要介绍索尔·贝娄的生平及主要代表作,对《真情》的小说内容进行简单介绍,并简述国内外对索尔·贝娄及其作品的研究现状,阐述木篇论文的创新点。第二部分介绍后殖民主义及后殖民主义理论的代表人物及其观点,通过对后殖民主义理论主要代表人物和观点的剖析,归纳出后殖民主义理论的主要特征,并且阐述后殖民主义视角下解读《真情》的可行性。第三部分将后殖民主义理论与作品相结合,探究《真情》中后殖民主义理论的应用及具体体现。通过对犹太人哈里·特雷尔曼和西格蒙德·艾德勒茨基强烈的自我意识和极强的观察能力描写反映出长期身为“他者”所带来的痛苦。面对美国犹太人与主流社会中的白人形象上的不对称,美国犹太人少数族裔的身份使他们只能选择用沉默的方式和自我防御这样的行为来对抗种种主流社会对他们的歧视。为了摆脱在美国社会中所受的排挤融入主流社会,以哈里·特雷尔曼和西格蒙德·艾德勒茨基为代表的美国犹太人发挥犹太人的深入探究的精神,不断发展属于自己的事业,汲取新知识,希望尽最大努力全面融入主流社会。第四部分进一步分析造成犹太人这样的特质的深层原因。首先分析犹太民族的历史,阐述了犹太历史对美国犹太人现在生活的影响,不知道自己究竟来自于哪里,属于哪里,因而形成犹太民族现实生活上的漂泊和思想意识上的“无根”。为了摆脱这种“无根”意识,犹太人试图寻找文化身份的认同,体现了文化殖民对美国犹太人的影响。最后一部分的总结对全文观点进行重新阐述,进一步说明研究后殖民主义理论下美国犹太人生活的重要意义及对现在社会发展的启示。通过本篇论文可以对美国犹太裔作家及其作品有更加深入的认识,对其背后所蕴含的意义有更为深刻的了解。
[Abstract]:Saul Bellowman (1915-2005) is a famous Jewish writer in the United States. Most of his works reflect the living conditions of Jews in the melting pot of the United States. Influential in the American literary world. Truth is a novella published by Saul Bellow in 1997, although it is about the love of Harry Trelman for half a century. But it reflects the influence of long-term culture colonization on American Jews and their living conditions. This article is mainly from the perspective of post-colonialism interpretation of the work, the paper is divided into five parts. As the first part of the introduction mainly introduces the life of Saul Bellow and his main masterpiece. A brief introduction to the content of the novel "True feelings", and a brief account of the domestic and foreign research on Saul Bellow and his works. The second part introduces the representative figures of post-colonialism and post-colonialism theory and their views, through the analysis of the main representatives and views of post-colonialism theory. The main characteristics of post-colonialism theory are summarized, and the feasibility of interpreting "truth" from the perspective of post-colonialism is expounded. The third part combines post-colonialism theory with works. To explore the application and concrete embodiment of postcolonial theory in "truth".
