【摘要】：美洲新大陆的发现标志着近代历史的开端。长期以来，克里斯托弗·哥伦布因其果敢、聪慧、高超的航海技艺以及卓越的功绩而被西方国家尊为英雄。二战后，随着民权运动和环境保护运动的兴起，不少美国人尤其是土著人和环保人士对正统哥伦布形象提出质疑。因其虐待土著人，，破坏当地自然环境，哥伦布被很多人视为失败者。通过比较分析两部具有代表性的当代哥伦布传记《哥伦布传》和《征服天堂》，本文研究旨在探讨哥伦布形象在美国转变的原因。首先，本文简要回顾了新大陆发现以来哥伦布形象的三个发展阶段。其次，本文详细探讨了两部哥伦布传记中哥伦布的正统形象和负面形象。再次，通过比较两部传记作者的思想和历史观的差异，以及其所处的文化背景的不同，本文重点分析了哥伦布形象转变的原因。本文采用文史相结合的方法，从历史角度分析两部代表性著作的史学观，研究历史人物形象在公众心目中的转变，通过这种方式，本文研究有助于加深人们对西方文化的认识。
[Abstract]:The discovery of the New World marked the beginning of modern history. For a long time, Christopher Columbus was revered as a hero in the West for his daring, intelligence, great navigational skills, and remarkable achievements. With the rise of the civil rights movement and the environmental movement, many Americans, especially the aborigines and environmentalists, questioned the orthodox image of Columbus because of its abuse of the indigenous people and the destruction of the local natural environment. Columbus is regarded as a loser by many people. By comparative analysis of two representative contemporary Columbus biographies Columbus and Conquest of Heaven this study aims to explore the reasons for the transformation of Columbus' image in the United States. First of all, this paper briefly reviews the three stages of the development of Columbus' image since the discovery of the New World. Secondly, this paper discusses in detail the orthodox and negative images of Columbus in the two biographies of Columbus. By comparing the differences of the two biographers' ideas and historical views, as well as the cultural background in which they are located, this paper focuses on the reasons for the transformation of Columbus' image. By analyzing the historical view of the two representative works and studying the change of historical figures' image in the public mind, this paper is helpful to deepen people's understanding of western culture.
