《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》的认知诗学解读

【摘要】:认知诗学关注语言形式选择的认知结构和认知加工过程。对于文学作品而言,由于读者对文本语言的识别和理解需要采用多种认知策略,因此在认知层面上阐释文本意义的建构能更充分地解释文学语篇中的语言形式和文体功能。作为认知诗学中重要的认知模型之一,文本世界理论主要解释语篇的认知加工过程。运用文本世界理论对小说语篇进行分析,可以探寻小说文学意义在读者阅读过程中的形成机制。 《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》是世界上最受欢迎和最著名的童话之一,是儿童魔幻和荒诞文学的先驱之作,它极大地影响着英国儿童的成长并成为英国儿童的必读物之一。《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》以传统小说写作方式开始,告知读者人物和地点。随着新的人物出现,读者不知不觉中被带入一个梦境世界,对这个梦境世界的建构和小说人物的建构都打破了读者已有的认知框架。本论文基于认知诗学理论框架下的文本世界理论,立足于读者阅读的认知过程,探讨了《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》梦境世界的叙事结构和人物建构。在叙事结构层面详细分析了小说世界中的世界转换和世界修正,在人物建构层面分析了指称、身份及情态世界对该小说梦境世界的建构功能,目的是描写《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》中小说文本的认知机制,探寻读者对小说梦境世界的心理建构。通过研究发现,作者在小说中通过频繁地使用带有回忆和想象性质的词语及时态、空间的变换来建构文本世界中小说真实世界与梦境世界之间的转换,通过大量使用指称建构小说人物爱丽丝的不同身份以及使用否定和情态动词来展现梦境世界的荒诞性及爱丽丝在荒诞世界中的成长。本文认为,文本世界理论对《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》中的梦境世界有很强的解释力,它为解读小说中的梦境世界提供了新视角,使读者积极参与到小说世界中,更好地解释了小说梦境世界的荒诞性以及梦境中人物的荒诞性格,拓宽了该理论在此类非常规语篇中的应用。
[Abstract]:Cognitive poetics focuses on the cognitive structure and cognitive processing of language form selection.As far as literary works are concerned, the readers need to adopt various cognitive strategies to recognize and understand the text language. Therefore, the construction of textual meaning can explain the language form and stylistic function in literary discourse more fully.As one of the most important cognitive models in cognitive poetics, text world theory mainly explains the cognitive process of discourse.By analyzing the text world theory, we can explore the formation mechanism of novel literary meaning in the process of readers' reading.Alice in Wonderland is one of the most popular and famous fairy tales in the world and a pioneer of children's fantasy and absurd literature.It greatly affects the growth of English children and becomes one of the compulsory reading materials for English children. Alice in Wonderland begins with the traditional novel writing method and informs the reader of the characters and places.With the emergence of new characters, readers are unconsciously brought into a dream world. The construction of this dream world and the construction of novel characters have broken the existing cognitive framework of readers.Based on the text world theory under the framework of cognitive poetics and the cognitive process of readers' reading, this paper discusses the narrative structure and character construction of the dream world in Alice in Wonderland.At the level of narrative structure, the author analyzes the world transformation and world revision in the novel world in detail, and analyzes the constructional function of reference, identity and modal world on the dream world of the novel at the level of character construction.The purpose is to describe the cognitive mechanism of the novel text in Alice in Wonderland and to explore the readers' psychological construction of the novel's dream world.It is found that the author constructs the transformation between the real world and the dream world in the text world through the frequent use of words and tenses with the nature of recollection and imagination, as well as the transformation of the space between the real world and the dream world in the text world.The absurdity of the dream world and the growth of Alice in the absurd world are demonstrated by the extensive use of reference to construct the different identities of Alice in the novel and the use of negative and modal verbs.This paper holds that the text world theory has a strong explanatory power for the dream world in Alice in Wonderland, which provides a new perspective for the interpretation of the dream world in the novel, and makes the readers actively participate in the novel world.It better explains the absurdity of the dream world and the absurd character of the characters in the dream world and widens the application of the theory in this kind of unconventional discourse.
