《警察与赞美诗》的功能文体分析

【摘要】：系统功能语法和文体学互相结合对语言学的发展起到了积极的影响,语言在这个框架下被看作具有意义潜式的系统,对语言的分析也更加客观和宽泛。文应用系统功能语言学和文体学相关理论分析美国作家欧·亨利的小说《警察与赞美诗》,解析语言学手段如何表达小说文学主题。文章利用及物性理论分析小说主要人物的性格及其复杂的内心情感状态;利用语篇功能来分析小说的组织结构;最后应用语气和情态体系来分析小说中主要人物之间的对话。进一步验证了系统功能语法和文体学互相结合的确可以为应用语言学的研究提供新的工具,也为理解文学作品提供了一个全新的视角。
[Abstract]:The combination of systemic functional grammar and stylistics has played a positive role in the development of linguistics. Under this framework, language is regarded as a potentially meaningful system, and the analysis of language is more objective and extensive. This paper applies the theories of systemic functional linguistics and stylistics to the analysis of American writer O'Henry 's novel "Police and hymn", and analyzes how linguistic means express the literary theme of the novel. This paper uses the theory of transitivity to analyze the characters of the main characters in the novel and their complex inner emotional state; to analyze the organizational structure of the novel by using the textual functions; and finally to analyze the dialogue between the main characters in the novel by using the mood and modality system. It is further verified that the combination of systemic functional grammar and stylistics can provide a new tool for the study of applied linguistics and a new perspective for the understanding of literary works.
