[Abstract]:This article mainly uses the court trial process as the narrative structure frame, analyzes the Russian American writer Vladimir Nabokov's representative work, Lolita. The novel itself is a microcosm of the court trial. The metaphorical written memories are written by the first person narrator Humbert. Humbert is not only the plaintiff defense lawyer but also the witness who witnessed the incident. This multi-character central character provides evidence and testimony in court and reviews the whole process of the incident. To some extent, his statement raises moral questions. Thus, the central man's statement became a court record in which no ornate rhetoric could be found. These statements give rise to debate about the guilt and innocence of the central figure, and the reader is expected to give a final verdict or moral judgment. In Lolita, Vladimir Nabokov creates a novel art that permeates people's perception of life and reveals the innermost secrets of human nature. His narration is carried out in the order of natural time, which can convey the fictional world, the characters and the emotions of the characters to the readers. This special form of novel is a kind of modernist novel, which illustrates a characteristic of modernist novel: the charm of literature and art lies not only in arousing people's thinking about problems, but also in arousing people's emotional resonance. In other words, in the process of reading the novel, the reader not only reads the words, but also melts into the emotional world of the characters. Through the presentation of narration, the reader can feel the dynamic change of the relationship between the characters, and at the same time, he can live in the fictional world. Lolita is a story told in three narrative dimensions. This narrative allows Humbert to understand and defend his actions. The story itself is a memoir in which Humbert recounts what happened to him. Through the analysis of the narrative structure of the novel, this paper tries to dig into the theme of the novel from a more objective angle and hope to provide new value to the theoretical and practical research of Lolita. At the same time, I also hope to make up for the shortcomings of previous studies.
