【摘要】：徐忠雄,出生于1949年奥克兰,加利福利亚州,是现代著名华裔美国作家,华盛顿大学英语系教授。他曾与赵健秀、陈耀光和劳森·稻田等人合作编著了《哎咿!亚裔美国作家选集》这一旨在建立亚裔美国文学传统的里程碑式选集。《家园》是徐忠雄根据自身经历创作的第一部自传性散文体小说。小说自1979年发表以来,引起了广泛关注,先后获得太平洋西北地区书商奖和华盛顿州长作家节文学奖。《家园》讲述了主人公陈雨津在二十世纪五六十年代加利福利亚州的成长故事。他十五岁父母双亡后,感到焦虑与孤单,于是踏上了追寻祖辈在美国的足迹的旅程。通过无数次开车和坐飞机的旅程,他了解了移民祖辈被遗忘的历史,也学会了接受创伤。最终,他完成了一家四代人一直以来的梦想,宣称美国是自己的美国。本论文共分五个章节。第一章首先简要介绍了作者及小说的情节。接着简要概述了一些创伤理论家及他们的主要观点。最后是文章的理论及现实意义。第二章简要回顾了国内外关于作者及小说的研究。第三章讨论了小说《家园》中的创伤叙事。第四章讲述了主人公创伤复原的过程。第五章总结全文。运用创伤理论,本论文细致分析了小说文本,发现这部小说是创伤叙事的优良范本。小说中人物的创伤可以大致分为三类,即种族创伤、战争创伤和家庭创伤。每种创伤都运用了符合创伤记忆特征的叙事技巧,如叙事视角转换、非线性叙事、幻觉、梦境、碎片化叙事等等。依据朱蒂丝·赫曼的创伤理论,创伤的复原过程可分为三个步骤:第一是认识问题,掌控自我;第二是叙述故事;最后是转变创伤记忆。创伤理论为研究《家园》中主人公的内心世界提供了新的视角,有利于分析人物由于外部环境产生的心理压力、心理焦虑和心理创伤。本文以创伤理论为建构,结合细致文本分析,期望能对《家园》的研究有新的贡献,让跟多人关注创伤群体及文学中的创伤研究。
