关联理论视角下分析《沉默侍者》

哈罗德·品特是闻名世界的戏剧家,他独特的戏剧风格使他荣获了2005年度诺贝尔文学奖。他的戏剧通常是在一个封闭的房间里,通过人物之间日常生活闲谈,反映密闭的房间里潜在的神秘威胁性。品特戏剧中的人物将语言视为武器,用语言来争取权利和身份的认同。品特曾经说过“语言是一种十分含混的东西。常常在被言说的词语下面,有着言犹未明的东西。”品特利用语言这个特殊的工具,生动的表现了言语下面隐藏的人物之间的权势关系和潜在的威胁性。语言可以改变人物的关系;同时也能重新建立身份。品特是一位善于运用语言的大师。本文进行的是跨学科的研究,利用语用学的关联理论对文学作品进行分析,希望语言学可以更好的为文学解读服务,在了解人物对话的语境和推理等的前提下,更好的实现交际。本文是以品特早期的代表作之一的独幕剧《沉默侍者》为蓝本,运用关联理论研究其语言特征和主题。本文一共分为四个部分:第一章是对关联理论的概述,包括以下三个部分:关联理论和交际,关联理论的基本概念认知语境和互明,交际的“明示--推理”模式,关联性以及关联理论在文学作品中的作用。第二章是将关联理论应用于品特的戏剧作品《沉默侍者》,主要对作品的语言特征从关联理论...
