路易丝·厄德里克的《爱药》的生态批评阐释

路易丝·厄德里克(Louise Erdrich,1954-)是印第安文学复兴运动的第二代代表作家,在美国文坛发挥着举足轻重的作用,她对美国少数族裔文学的贡献在学术界格外引人注目,并获得过无数次像是全国书评家协会奖之类的文学大奖,以及6次欧·亨利短篇小说奖,其殊荣堪比对其影响很深的美国作家威廉·福克纳。路易丝·厄德里克的父亲是德裔美国人,母亲有齐佩瓦和法国血统。这种双重身份的特殊性使得其作品具有丰富性和复杂性。一方面,作为一个深受传统印第安文化影响的女性作家,小说中很自然的流露出女性和自然之间的紧密联系;另外一方面,作为一个深受双重文化影响的作家,小说中又反映出了印第安文化和白人文化之间的冲突和关联。作为当代最多产的印第安作家之一,路易丝·厄德里克的作品受到了批评界的广泛关注。在其多部长篇小说中,《爱药》(Love Medicine 1984)是其最受评论界关注的代表作之一。因此本文将透过生态批评视野解读该小说,以发掘其生态内涵。具体来说,笔者试图透过生态女性主义和环境公正两种批评方法对《爱药》进行阐释,并揭示该作品中所体现的特有的生态观以及环境与种族经验之间的关系,希望能以此丰富对路易...
