用会话含义理论分析小说《傲慢与偏见》中的对白

小说中的对白对体现人物言语行为和性格特点起着举足轻重的作用。一部文学作品之所以历久弥新成为经典,是因为作品中人物突出的言语行为和鲜活的性格特点能够打动一代又一代的读者。英国女作家简·奥斯汀经典小说《傲慢与偏见》便是这样的作品。在小说中,人物的日常交际主要是通过对白实现的,所以研究这部作品中人物的对白十分必要。从不胜枚举的文学评论和文学研究中,我们可以看出小说《傲慢与偏见》的文学价值,但从语用学角度分析该作品的研究则并不多见。本文试图用Grice的会话含义理论解析这部小说中人物对白的暗含之意,从而进一步推导出小说中各色人物的性格和作家的语言风格,同时也为文学作品的研究提供一种新的研究方向。简·奥斯汀的语言机智、幽默,又充满讽刺。她独特的语言特点是通过小说中大量人物对白展现出来的。小说人物在交际对话过程中或运用遵守或违反合作原则以产生丰富的语用含义。在推导这一含义的过程中,人物的性格和作家的风格清晰地呈现在读者面前。本文推导小说中人物对白所运用的语用学理论是英国语言哲学家Grice的会话含义理论。这一理论能够将会话中的深层含义或者说是暗含之意通过语用推理揭示出来,使读者能够明白一些说话者未...
