对凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德六篇男性主角短篇小说的社会历史主义解读

作为短篇小说大师,凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德是一位在世界文学史上不容忽视的天才女作家,更是迄今为止文学史上唯一一位生活与创作密不可分的作家。她一生都在孤独与死亡的威胁下写作,其中以女性为主题的小说最多,还有大约三分之一的作品是描写家庭婚姻中男女关系的,对他们来说,幸福和谐共处很难实现,以刻画男性形象为主的小说只有有限的几篇。此篇论文主要运用了社会历史主义的批评方法分析了曼斯菲尔德以男性为主角创作的六篇短篇小说以期对其作品主题、思想倾向、以及其作品的社会效果有一个全面的了解。论文共分为六个部分：引言、中间四个章节以及结论。第一章引言部分包括凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德的生平与文学创作,文献综述以及社会历史主义批评理论三个方面。第二章主要介绍了凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德这六篇以男性为主角的短篇小说的创作背景,包括社会历史背景,思想理论背景以及创作这六篇小说时的具体情形。第三章通过对凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德笔下孤独无助的男性人物及扭曲压抑的环境氛围的探析研究,揭示了其作品对当时真实具体的社会生活的忠实反映。这种忠实反映了一战后现代社会人性孤独、扭曲的堕落现实。第四章分析了凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德笔下这六篇以男性为主角的短篇小说反...
