《无事生非》中话语的(不)礼貌研究

戏剧作为一种重要的文学体裁,具有其鲜明的文体特征。戏剧中的语言不仅仅是作者的艺术创作,更是生活的再现,因而具有较大的研究价值。但是长久以来,戏剧很少受到语言学家的青睐,而一直被视为“遗忘的孩子”(Culpeper, Short, Verdonk, 1998: 3)。近年来虽然有不少学者对戏剧体裁产生了浓厚的兴趣,但是从礼貌和不礼貌的角度来分析戏剧的研究仍然少之又少。 本文以威廉·莎士比亚最成功的喜剧之一——《无事生非》为研究对象,以语用学相关理论为理论基础,包括言语行为理论,礼貌相关理论和不礼貌相关理论。在国内外学者们对戏剧研究的基础上,本文尝试从礼貌和不礼貌的角度对该戏剧中的话语进行分析,阐释剧中人物的言外之意,以揭示其话语向听话人所传递的信息是否礼貌。 本文运用上述的语用学理论,对剧中人物话语的具体例子进行了详细剖析。通常情况下,出于对别人面子的考虑,剧中人物用礼貌话语来表达对他人的尊重。但是,在某些情况下,他们的礼貌话语在无意中向听话人传递了不礼貌的信息。而且,礼貌话语还常常被作为一种语用策略,以达到他们的某种交际目的。另一方面,不礼貌话语既可以传递不礼貌信息,也可以产生礼貌的效...
