The Effects of PDCA Circulation Method on Reducing Hospital Infection

Objective To analyze the effects of PDCA circulation method on reducing hospital infection.Methods PDCA circulation method in nursing management in 2013 was chosen as the research object,which was compared with prior to 2012. Then the implementation of protective measures was observed before and after PDCA circulation method,followed by comparing nurses and patients' hospital infection rate. Results After the PDCA circulation method of management,standard protective measures such as the nursing staff washing their hands,wearing a mask and gloves were carried out much better; nursing staff respiratory infection,needle stick injuries(0. 00%,18. 10%),infection of patients with respiratory tract infection,invasive operation(1. 89%,9. 47%) were significantly lower than the previous( P 0.05). Conclusion PDCA circulation method can strengthen medical personnel to perform preventive measures of hospital infection.
