【摘要】:越来越多的研究发现人格特征与大脑特定区域的活动特性及解剖结构密切相关。本研究的目的在于利用静息态fMRI检测人格特征与BOLD信号低频振荡的局部特性之间是否存在关联。在人格特征与BOLD信号低频振荡同步性(ReHo)的研究中,我们发现,神经质个性维度与ReHo值负相关的区域发生在左侧的额叶部分,这一结果为支撑左侧额叶活动涉及愉悦情绪处理提供了又一有效证据。对于外倾性个性维度而言,与ReHo值负相关的区域发生在内侧前额叶,由于内侧前额叶是大脑默认网络的重要节点,这一发现表明默认网络的活动可以用来预测个体差异的人格特征。除此之外,脑岛、小脑、扣带回的ReHo值与外倾性个性维度正相关,暗示了具有情绪加工、处理功能的脑区会对外倾性这一特质的形成产生影响。我们的研究结果足以说明人格特征与自发的神经元活动的同步性密切相关,并为个体差异的大脑功能活动预测人格特征提供进一步的证据。 艾森克提出的有关于外倾性及神经质个性维度的生物学模型引起了研究者们对揭示其神经生物学基础的浓厚兴趣。在人格特征与BOLD信号低频振荡振幅的研究中,我们利用比率低频振荡振幅(fALFF)分析方法探测艾森克人格维度外倾性及神经质与slow-4及slow-5频段的低频振荡振幅之间的关联性。我们的研究结果表明,slow-5频段的低频振荡振幅与外倾性得分正相关的区域发生在内侧前额叶及楔前叶,暗示了个体差异的大脑默认网络的活动可以用来预测人格特征的差异性。slow-5频段的低频振荡振幅值与神经质个性维度正相关的区域发生在右侧的前额叶部分,负相关的区域发生在左侧的额下皮层,这为进一步说明额叶不对称性与神经质之间的关系提供了有力的证据。slow-4频段的低频振荡振幅值与外倾性负相关的区域发生在左侧的海马,与神经质负相关的区域发生在左侧的颞上回,不仅支撑了外倾性与皮层唤醒水平负相关的关系,而且说明个体差异的人格特征与具有情绪加工、处理功能的脑区之间存在关联性。总的来说,我们的结果表明人格特征与特定频段下的低频振荡振幅相关联,并说明人格特征与个体差异的脑功能活动之间存在关联。
[Abstract]:More and more studies have found that personality traits are closely related to the activity and anatomical structure of specific regions of the brain. The aim of this study is to detect whether there is a correlation between personality characteristics and the local characteristics of low frequency oscillation of BOLD signals using resting fMRI. In the study of personality characteristics and synchronism of low frequency oscillations of BOLD signals, we found that the negative correlation between neurotic personality dimension and ReHo value occurred in the left frontal lobe. This result provides another valid evidence to support the left frontal lobe activity involved in pleasurable emotional processing. For extroversion personality dimension, the area negatively correlated with ReHo value occurs in the medial prefrontal lobe, because the medial prefrontal lobe is an important node of the brain's default network. This finding suggests that the activity of the default network can be used to predict the personality characteristics of individual differences. In addition, the ReHo values of the cerebral islands, cerebellum and cingulate gyrus are positively correlated with the extroversion personality dimension, suggesting that the brain regions with emotional processing and processing function may have an effect on the formation of extroversion. Our results show that personality traits are closely related to the synchronism of spontaneous neuronal activity and provide further evidence for predicting personality characteristics by individual brain functional activity. The biological model of extroversion and neuroticism proposed by Eysenck has aroused great interest in revealing the basis of neurobiology. In the study of personality characteristics and low frequency oscillation amplitude of BOLD signal, we use the method of ratio low frequency oscillation amplitude analysis to explore the extroversion of Eysenck personality dimension and the correlation between neuroticism and low frequency oscillation amplitude of slow-4 and slow-5. Our results show that the low frequency oscillation amplitude of slow-5 band is positively related to extraversion score in the medial prefrontal lobe and precuneiform lobe. It is suggested that the activity of the brain's default network of individual differences can be used to predict the low frequency oscillation amplitude of personality difference. Slow-5 band and the region positively related to the dimension of neurotic personality occurs in the prefrontal lobe on the right. The negative correlation occurred in the left subfrontal cortex, which provided strong evidence for the relationship between the frontal asymmetry and neuroticism. The low frequency oscillation amplitude of the slow-4 band and the region negatively correlated with extroversion occurred in the left hippocampus. The region negatively related to neuroticism occurs in the left superior temporal gyrus, which not only supports the negative correlation between extroversion and cortical arousal level, but also indicates that personality characteristics of individual differences are associated with emotional processing. There is a correlation between the brain regions of processing function. In general, our results show that personality characteristics are correlated with the amplitude of low frequency oscillations at specific frequencies, and that there is a correlation between personality characteristics and brain function activities of individual differences.
