电子媒介时代的囚徒——柏拉图“洞穴之喻”的当代启示

【摘要】:早在两千多年前,古希腊哲学家柏拉图提到这样的一类人,他们只是乐意去看可见的世界,而不去思考可知的世界,这就是柏拉图洞穴之喻中所说的囚徒。过了两千多年,这些囚徒依然没有走出囚禁他们的洞穴,继续在图像的牢笼中观看这个世界。在当前的电子媒介时代,这些囚徒已经演变成在图像文化的强力诱惑下而无法自拔的影视观众。电子媒介的囚徒在图像的愉悦中获得了身体上的愉悦,从现象学、精神分析理论以及符号学理论的分析,可以发现图像所带来的愉悦相比于文字的愉悦更为强烈。而相关的批判就有法兰克福学派的文化工业批判、布尔迪厄的电视文化批判和波斯特的娱乐至死的分析。在当代的语境下,回归印刷文化和走向听觉文化则有助于电子媒介的囚徒走出图像文化的牢笼。
[Abstract]:More than two thousand years ago, the ancient Greek philosopher Plato referred to people who were only willing to see the visible world without thinking about the knowable world, which is what Plato's cave metaphor refers to as a prisoner. More than two thousand years later, These prisoners are still not out of the cave where they are imprisoned and continue to watch the world in the cage of images. In the current age of electronic media, These prisoners have evolved into film and television audiences unable to extricate themselves from the powerful temptation of image culture. Prisoners in the electronic media have gained physical pleasure in the pleasure of images, from the analysis of phenomenology, psychoanalytic theory, and semiotic theory. It can be found that the pleasure of images is more intense than the pleasure of words, and the related criticism is the criticism of the cultural industry of the Frankfurt School. Bourdieu's criticism of TV culture and Post's analysis of entertainment to death. In the contemporary context, returning to print culture and moving towards auditory culture will help the prisoners of electronic media to get out of the cage of image culture.
