儒学与西学的交融互释:严复核心观念疏解

【摘要】:严复是中国近代伟大的启蒙思想家,在近代思想文化中的地位不言而喻。曾在英国留学,学习西方文化,归国后,致力于介绍、引进西方文化。严复一生中译著了大量的西方著作,如:《天演论》、《原富》、《群己权界论》、《穆勒名学》、《社会通诠》、《群学肄言》、《法意》以及《名学浅说》,这八部译著是他留给后人的宝贵精神财富。在他活动的最主要时期,正值甲午战争中国战败,外国侵略者把中国变成了一个积贫积弱的、半封建半殖民地国家。虽然民族资产阶级有了初步的发展,但由于当时还属于新兴阶级,所以必然有其软弱性。严复代表了新兴资产阶级的利益,系统的介绍了西方思想文化,试图通过新式武器来挽救中国,希望中国能像西方那样走向富强。严复从中国的战败中,看到了西方文明的强大,从他强烈的爱国主义情怀出发,对封建社会进行了猛烈地抨击,提出了通过变法来求得富强,须采取鼓励民力的开发、教化人民、兴张德性等一系列措施。这些提法在当时的社会起到了振聋发聩的作用。到目前为止,对严复的思想研究已经走过了一段漫长的历程,其成果是显著和可观的。本文主要是从严复几个核心观念出发,探究其儒学与西学的交融互释。以此来论证严复早期、中期和晚期思想的连续性和统一性。儒学与西学的交融互释,是严复思想的重要特征,对严复这一思想的研究也是每个研究西方文化的学者孜孜以求的目标。本文主要包括三个部分,绪论、正文和结语。绪论主要是梳理前人对严复的研究,形成的大致观点;正文部分首先论述严复思想特点产生的原因;其次是对核心观念的疏解;最后从严复个案出发,论述对于整个社会的现实的意义,从个性到共性。对于儒学与西学,严复前后的态度是一致的,并没有全盘西化,或者是晚年的时候完全复归传统。在面对儒学或者西学的时候,他从实际出发,看到它们各自的优缺点,希望从根本解决当时中国积贫积弱的现状。
[Abstract]:Yan Fu was a great thinker in modern Chinese, it is self-evident in modern culture. The position was studying in the UK, learning western culture, after returning to the introduction of western culture. In the life of Yan Fu translated a lot of Western works, such as: < < > > tianyanlun, Yuan Fu, "group has the right circles the Muller name > >, < < science, social history >, < < > the study of sociology, Law Science > > and < name of, these eight works are the precious spiritual wealth he left behind. In the main period of his activities, during the Sino Japanese War China was defeated, the Chinese foreign invaders a poor and weak, semi feudal and semi colonial country. Although the national bourgeoisie have preliminary development, but then also belongs to the new class, it must have its weakness. Yan Fu on behalf of the interests of the emerging bourgeoisie, introduced the system of Western thought and culture, tries to new Weapon to save Chinese China, hope can like the west towards prosperity. Yan Fu from the China defeat, see the powerful Western civilization, starting from his strong patriotism, the feudal society was violently attacked and put forward through reform to achieve prosperity, encouraging people to take development, educating people, a series of measures. The formulation of Xing Zhang virtue to the great teaching role in the society at that time. So far, the research of Yan Fu's thought has gone through a long process, the result is obvious and impressive. This paper mainly from the perspective of Yan Fu several core concepts, explore the blending of Confucianism and Western culture the mutual interpretation. In order to demonstrate the early Yan Fu, continuity and unity of the mid and late thought. Blend Confucianism and Western mutual interpretation, is an important characteristic of Yan Fu thought, to the thought of Yan Fu's research is also each A study of western scholars diligently strive after goal. This article mainly includes three parts, introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction mainly is the study of Yan Fu's predecessors, the formation of the general view; first, discusses the cause of Yan Fu's ideological characteristics; second is to ease the core idea; finally from the Yan Fu case of discussion for the social reality, from the individual to the common. For Confucianism and Western culture before and after Yan Fu's attitude is consistent, and not westernization, or later return to tradition. Completely in the face of Confucianism or western culture, he embarks from the reality, see their respective advantages and disadvantages, to fundamentally solve at Chinese jipinjiruo.
