荀子对早期儒家“为己之学”的贡献

【摘要】:荀子对与精神修炼有关的话题高度关注,他主张人心建构起"价值的秩序"的最终支持来自于"道",从工夫上来说,则是由于心灵因有"征知"而能"知道"。普通人应首先了解"道"的真相,然后再通过有效的修身技术来引导自己按照这种正确的方式生活,使自己成为所谓的"君子"。改变自己的努力,则在于如何去"伏术为学",通过"积善而不息"的过程,达到"化性起伪"的效果。专注于精神修炼方面,荀子的"心术"依旧从孔孟之间儒者已经开辟出的分别与理智德性和道德德性相关的思与气两个维度上展开,在实践上呈现为"解蔽"的问题与"治气养心"之术。将"知道"与"虑"作为精神修炼的基础,明确将"思"视为精神修炼活动和其他修身活动乃至整个"为己之学"的起点,或可被视为荀子对早期儒家"为己之学"的最大理论贡献。
[Abstract]:Xunzi pays close attention to the topic related to spiritual cultivation. He advocates that the ultimate support for the construction of "value order" by the human mind comes from "Tao". In terms of time, it is because the mind can "know" by "knowing". The common people should first understand the truth of "Tao" and then guide themselves to follow this correct way through effective self-cultivation techniques. To change one's efforts lies in how to "bend one's wits for learning" and achieve the effect of "turning nature into hypocrisy" through the process of "accumulating good and never stopping". Concentrating on spiritual cultivation, Xunzi's "mind skill" is still related to the differences between Confucianism and Mencius, which have been developed by Confucianism. The two dimensions of thinking and Qi are unfolded in practice as the problem of "decoding" and the method of "nourishing the mind by governing qi". Taking "knowing" and "thinking" as the basis of spiritual cultivation, and clearly regarding "thinking" as the starting point of spiritual cultivation activities and other self-cultivation activities, and even the whole "learning for oneself" may be regarded as Xunzi's greatest "learning for oneself" to the early Confucianism.
