Thumos:(1)跳出理性与欲望的对峙——亚里士多德对柏拉图灵魂三分说的克服

【摘要】:柏拉图在《理想国》中将希腊词thumos正面建构为一个重要概念,且作为灵魂三分法的中介具有多重的功能,调节着理性与欲望的一般对立,并使城邦和个人的正义得以实施。但灵魂三分说自身的分类根据存在的问题导致了在应用thumos解释灵魂美德及其实现中的缺憾。由此引发了亚里士多德的批评,并使其在辩证地吸收了自然学家对灵魂的研究成果的基础上展开了新的灵魂学说,找到了理性和欲望对立的结构性解决方案,取消了灵魂三分说的必要性,瓦解了thumos概念的中介性地位。同时,也展现了一种不必以灵魂研究为实践哲学奠基的思路,而使得后者完全成为自足研究域。
[Abstract]:Plato took the Greek word thumos as an important concept in the Republic, and as an intermediary of the Trilogy of the Soul has many functions, which regulates the general opposition between reason and desire, and makes the justice of the city-state and individual carry out. However, the existence of its own classification leads to the defects in the application of thumos to the interpretation of soul virtue and its realization. This led to Aristotle's criticism and led it to develop a new theory of soul on the basis of dialectical absorption of the research results of naturalists on the soul and to find a structural solution to the antagonism between reason and desire. The necessity of eliminating the three-point theory of the soul disintegrates the intermediary position of the concept of thumos. At the same time, it also shows a kind of thinking which does not need to lay a foundation for practical philosophy, and makes the latter a self-sufficient research field.
