[Abstract]:Throughout 2016, a populist wave of anti-elites, anti-system, anti-immigration and anti-globalization has swept across Europe, which has profoundly affected the political ecology and social trends of the European Union. The EU economy entered the path of moderate recovery in 2016, growing 1.8% in the third quarter from a year earlier, but still facing the challenge of lack of momentum.
