【摘要】: 本文主要对航海英语中的感官动词进行量化分析。 本文是在NEC(航海英语)和BROWNA,LOBA(普通英语)和MTE(海商法英语)四个语料库的基础上进行研究的。
[Abstract]:This paper makes a quantitative analysis of sensory verbs in nautical English. On the basis of NEC (nautical English), BROWNALBA (general English) and MTE (maritime law English), this paper uses SNOBOL4 and FoxPro programs to process the corpus, and uses Chi-square testto analyze and compare the results. This paper focuses on the etymology, general etymology, semantic components, collocation and syntactic framework of high-frequency sensory verbs in nautical English. A few come from Old English. Their high frequency in nautical English mainly depends on their formality (except a few, accuracy, objectivity). These characteristics can be derived from the etymology of these sensory verbs, Semantic components and syntactic frameworks are explained, such as loanwords are significantly weaker in collocation and syntactic structure than native ones. All these high-frequency sensory verbs suggest that nautical English is a special register: it contains formal style. For example, maritime regulations, shipping rules and shipping contracts; also include informal styles, such as nautical diaries. The study is instructive to the teaching of words: in vocabulary teaching, the etymology, meaning, collocation and syntactic framework of words should be explained. Also to teach synonyms and antonyms, so as to achieve a comprehensive grasp of the word.
