[Abstract]:Since the implementation of the "decision of the standing Committee of the National people's Congress on improving the system of people's assessors" (hereinafter referred to as "the decision") on May 1st 2005, the people's courts have followed the spirit of the "decision" to achieve the goal of fair administration of justice. In order to promote and highlight judicial democracy, in the three five-year reform outlines of the people's Court, the people's Court has successively put "improving the people's jury system", an important task of the reform of the central judicial system and working mechanism, as an important task.
