文化多样性与企业创新:基于方言视角的研究

【摘要】：中国地域广袤,五千年来形成的丰厚而迥异的地域文化,是研究"文化与金融"的理想场景。本文利用城市方言数量以及方言分化指数度量地域文化多样性,并实证研究其对企业创新的影响。结果显示在文化越多样的地区,民营高科技企业会获得更多的创新产出,在使用工具变量解决内生性问题、同时排除了教育发展的影响之后,本文的结论依然稳健。进一步研究还发现,当公司所在城市不同方言之间的差异性越大、人口流入较多、包容性更好及知识产权保护水平越高时,方言多样性对创新的影响越显著。本文的结论有助于学术界从全新的视角理解中国各城市经济发展不平衡背后的非制度性原因,也为当前国际学术界"文化与金融"的研究提供来自文化底蕴深厚的非移民国家的经验证据。
[Abstract]:The rich and different regional culture formed in the past five thousand years is the ideal scene for the study of "Culture and Finance" in China. This paper measures the diversity of regional culture by using the quantity of urban dialects and the index of dialect differentiation. The results show that the more diverse the culture, the more the private high-tech enterprises will get more innovative output, after using tool variables to solve the endogenous problems, and excluding the impact of educational development. The conclusion of this paper is still robust. Further study also found that when the difference between different dialects of the company's cities is greater, the population inflow is greater, the inclusiveness is better, and the level of intellectual property protection is higher. The more significant the impact of dialect diversity on innovation, the more the conclusion of this paper is helpful for the academic community to understand the non-institutional reasons behind the imbalance in the economic development of Chinese cities from a new perspective. It also provides empirical evidence from non-immigrant countries with deep cultural background for the current study of culture and finance in international academia.
