外企从业人员职场英语能力需求分析

随着商业全球化的发展,国外企业逐渐进入中国市场开展业务。外企的发展使得具备英语能力的复合型人才需求不断增加,职场英语也越来越被企业重视。职场英语能力需求的研究主要是调查从业人员在日常工作中都用英语去完成哪些任务,从而在这些任务中分析职场人员所要具备的语言能力,这一研究也为大学英语教学提供一定指导意见。本文是以外企职场为调查背景,对外企从业人员职场英语需求进行探索性研究。旨在解决和回答以下相关的三个问题:(1)外企从业人员在日常工作中都需要用英语完成哪些任务?(2)外企从业人员所需要的英语能力有哪些?(3)上述外企从业人员英语能力需求分析对大学英语教学有何启示?通过调查分析,本研究得出以下结论:第一,在外企环境中,英语被使用的频率很高;四项基本英语技能中,使用频率由高到低分别是:阅读,写作,听力和口语;外企职员主要用英语来完成以下任务:阅读商务信函,阅读电子邮件和传真,浏览公司内部网页,阅读产品说明书,阅读工作报告,写工作总结等,这些任务是外企职员在日常工作中经常完成的。第二,在完成任务的过程中,外企从业人员需要的英语能力包括:基本语言技能(听、说、读、写、译);语言能力(组织能力和语用...
