区域差异、地方官员特征与教育支出行为

【摘要】:基于中国经济社会发展的区域差异,利用2004年~2015年地级市面板数据探讨地方官员特征及相应的晋升激励对地方教育支出的影响。研究发现,不同区域的地方官员对当地教育支出行为会产生不同的影响,官员晋升激励并未对教育支出形成显著的消极作用:在东部地区,年龄、任期和性别等官员特征对教育支出的影响较为显著;在东北地区,市级官员的某些特征呈现了与东部不同的影响关系;而在中西部地区,地方官员对教育支出的影响相对较小。
[Abstract]:Based on the regional differences of China's economic and social development, this paper discusses the influence of the characteristics of local officials and the corresponding promotion incentives on the local education expenditure by using the prefecture-level city panel data from 2004 to 2015. Local officials in different regions have different effects on the behavior of local education expenditure, and promotion incentives do not have a significant negative effect on education expenditure: in the eastern region, age, The influence of official characteristics such as tenure and gender on education expenditure is more significant; in Northeast China, some characteristics of city officials show different influence relationship with the east; but in the central and western regions, the influence of local officials on education expenditure is relatively small.
