【摘要】:词汇习得是英语学习的一个重要部分,也是英语学习者扩大词汇量的最直接方式。《普通高中英语课程标准》对高中学生的词汇量提出了新的要求,而外语教学者们一直提倡通过阅读来提高词汇量。因此在高中英语阅读教学中,将英语报刊作为英语教科书的补充材料有助于学生在报刊阅读中附带习得词汇。本文中笔者提出两个假设,并试图通过实验来探索英语报刊阅读对于促进高中生的词汇附带习得的有效性与可行性。本研究将高一年级的2个自然班,共100名学生作为研究对象,其中一个班设为实验班,另一个班则为控制班,选定《21世纪中学生英语报》作为高中教材之外的阅读辅助材料。实验班和控制班的学生通过一个学期的英语报刊课外自主阅读之后,笔者分别对两个班的学生进行问卷调查和词汇水平前测,分别以此了解两个班的学生在英语报刊阅读中的词汇附带习得情况和确保其在词汇水平上无显著差异。从第二阶段的实验开始,实验班在教师的指导下进行英语报刊阅读,而控制班继续保持课后英语报刊的自主阅读和词汇习得。实验结束后,再次对实验班和控制班学生同时进行了词汇水平后测,并对实验班学生进行了第二次的问卷调查。最后将实验过程中所收集的数据进行分析。实验结果肯定了英语报刊阅读对于词汇附带习得的促进作用,尤其是教师对实验班的学生进行了英语报刊阅读的指导之后,学生在报刊阅读中的词汇附带习得有了明显的提升。相信从一定程度上来说,本研究对于高中生英语的词汇附带习得的提高有一定的启发作用,对笔者所任教的学校的高中英语课外阅读教学也具有一定的实践意义。
[Abstract]:Vocabulary acquisition is not only an important part of English learning, but also the most direct way for English learners to enlarge their vocabulary. Foreign language teachers have been advocating the use of reading to improve vocabulary, so in high school English reading teaching. The use of English newspapers as supplementary materials in English textbooks can help students acquire vocabulary incidental to newspaper reading. In this paper, the author proposes two hypotheses. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness and feasibility of English newspaper reading in promoting incidental vocabulary acquisition in senior high school students. One class is an experimental class and the other is a control class. The English Journal of Middle School students (21th century) was selected as the reading aids in addition to the high school textbooks. After the students in the experimental class and the control class read independently after one semester of English newspapers and periodicals. The author carries on the questionnaire survey and the vocabulary level pre-test to the students of the two classes. In order to understand the incidental vocabulary acquisition in English newspaper and newspaper reading and to ensure that there is no significant difference in vocabulary level between the two classes, the second stage of the experiment began. The experimental class carries out English newspaper reading under the guidance of the teachers, while the control class continues to maintain the autonomous reading and vocabulary acquisition of English newspapers and periodicals after class. At the same time, the students of the experimental class and the control class were tested at the same time. Finally, the data collected in the course of the experiment are analyzed. The results confirm the effect of English newspaper reading on incidental vocabulary acquisition. Especially after the teachers have directed the English newspaper reading to the students in the experimental class, the incidental vocabulary acquisition of the students in the newspaper reading has obviously improved. To some extent, I believe. This study has a certain enlightening effect on the improvement of incidental vocabulary acquisition of senior high school students, and also has some practical significance for the teaching of English reading in the schools where the author teaches.
