【摘要】：1905年秋到1911年秋东渡日本留学、武昌起义后肄业而归的这段经历,在张季鸾的早期生涯特别是个人成长史上留下了非常重要的印记。不论就了解各种近代政经常识、扩大人际关系网络、锻炼清醒的爱国意识,还是深入了解日本国家及其民族性、形成有关中日关系的审慎判断来说,留日生涯对这位后来成为著名知日派的报人之成长都很重要。同时在晚清日益高涨的革命浪潮中,张季鸾留学期间始终笃信实学致用,并坚持相对并不那么激进的"勉学报国"。终其一生,无论对待内政问题还是外交事务,他都一直保持这种较为稳健的态度。

At the same time, in the rising revolutionary tide of the late Qing Dynasty, Zhang Jiluan always believed in practical learning when he was studying abroad. And he insisted on the relatively less radical "Mian Journal country". Throughout his life, he has maintained such a more stable attitude towards both domestic and foreign affairs.
