新自由主义世界中的大学认同与转型——基于三个文本的讨论

【摘要】：进入全球化时代以来,大学认同出现危机,引起知识分子对于大学遭遇新自由主义世界议题的关注。文章系统地梳理了三个基于不同理论视角的研究文本,尝试编织一条理解当下大学处境成因以及未来大学如何转型的路径。亚历克斯·卡利尼克斯(Alex Callinicos)批判新自由主义意识形态作为当代资本主义意识形态的延伸,侵蚀了大学理念,造成了对于大学认同的伤害。杰勒德·德兰迪(Gerard Delanty)则通过对大学及其转型历史的知识社会学考察,指出启蒙以来不同阶段的大学认同是一套伴随现代性演化的历史过程不断生成的结构。在大学遭遇到新自由主义的后现代性历史进程当中,重拾大学认同的转型之路则需要回归大学自身加以探索。爱德华·希尔斯(Edward Shils)通过对于教育的"天职"的唤起(calling of education),激励教师们担负起大学共同体的道德使命,成为指引当代大学身份认同重新定位的转型事业的中心。文章认为,对于新自由主义中的大学与大学转型问题的澄清将为我们思考今日中国大学的相似议题产生有益启迪。
[Abstract]:Since entering the era of globalization, the crisis of university identity has aroused intellectuals' concern about the issue of neoliberal world. This paper systematically combs three research texts based on different theoretical perspectives and attempts to weave a path to understand the causes of the current situation of universities and how to transform them in the future. Alex Callinicos criticizes neoliberal ideology as an extension of contemporary capitalist ideology, erodes the idea of university, and causes harm to university identity. Gerard Delantyy, by examining the history of university and its transformation, points out that the identity of university in different stages since the enlightenment is a set of structure which is constantly generated by the historical process of modern evolution. In the process of post-modernity of neoliberalism, it is necessary to return to the university itself to explore the transformation of university identity. Edward Shilsby arousing the calling of education encourages teachers to undertake the moral mission of the university community and become the center of the transformation that guides the reorientation of the identity of the contemporary university. The paper holds that the clarification of the issue of university and university transformation in neoliberalism will give us useful inspiration for thinking about the similar issues of Chinese universities today.
