大学校长与大学竞争力关系的研究

【摘要】:近年来,随着高等教育在我国不断的发展和进步,大学的竞争力水平越来越受到人们的关注,而校长作为一所大学的最高领导人,也被社会寄予厚望。同时,学术界以"大学校长"为主题的研究也日益增加,这些研究大多都站在教育学和心理学的角度,论述大学校长的教育理念、治校方法等。但是,现有文献多以定性研究为主,其阐述都属于比较理想的应然层面,对校长的各方面研究也是仁者见仁,智者见智。基于此,本文试图利用经济学理论,采用计量分析的方法,定量的研究大学校长的个人特征和大学竞争力之间的关系,从而为我国大学校长的遴选和评价机制提供可参考的建议。本文首先对国内外学者研究大学校长的内容和方法进行简单的梳理和归纳总结,并指出本文研究的目标与方向;其次,我们选取"大学排名"作为衡量大学竞争力水平的量化指标,对大学排名的历史、分类和影响进行了归纳,列举了当前国内影响力较大的大学排行榜,并对它们一一进行说明;再次,本文利用熊彼特的企业家理论和Mason的高阶理论,解释了大学校长作为大学的最高领导,对大学竞争力水平的重要影响,然后将大学校长的个人特征从多个维度进行展开,并运用多种理论分析各个维度对大学竞争力的影响,为文章后续的计量研究提供了充分的理论支撑,同时提出相应的理论假说。接下来是实证分析部分。本文首先对所选样本中的大学及其校长进行相应的描述性统计,对高校各方面排名变化情况、大学校长的个人特征及更替交流情况等进行了统计分析;接下来进行了一系列的回归分析,最终发现,有本校学习和工作经历的大学校长对大学竞争力的发展有促进作用,大学校长的更替会给大学的学术水平带来负向影响,而大学校长的其他特征比如年龄、任期、学术地位等,对大学竞争力水平均没有显著的影响。接下来,我们又对大学党委书记与大学竞争力的关系进行回归分析,结果发现,大学党委书记的个人特征对大学竞争力没有显著影响。最后,本文针对以上结论提出了相应的政策建议。
[Abstract]:In recent years, with the continuous development and progress of higher education in our country, the level of the university's competitiveness is getting more and more concerned, and the principal, as the top leader of a university, is also given high hopes by the society. At the same time, the research of the academic circles on the theme of the "Rector of the University" is also increasing, most of these studies are in the angle of pedagogy and psychology, and discuss the educational concept and the method of the school principal. However, the existing literature is mainly characterized by qualitative research, and it is all of the more ideal and appropriate level, and the research on the principal's aspects is also a matter of benevolence and wisdom. On the basis of this, this paper attempts to make use of the theory of economics, to use the method of measurement and analysis, to study the relationship between the personal characteristics of the principal of the university and the competitiveness of the university, so as to provide a reference for the selection and evaluation mechanism of the president of the university. In this paper, the contents and methods of the university principal at home and abroad are briefly summarized and summarized, and the aim and direction of the study are pointed out; secondly, we select the "the ranking of the university" as the quantitative index to measure the competitive level of the university, and the history of the university ranking. This paper sums up the classification and influence, and lists the university charts with great influence in the country, and makes a description of them. Again, this paper uses the theory of entrepreneur's theory of entrepreneur and the high-order theory of Mason to explain the university's president as the top leader of the university. It is an important influence on the level of the university's competitive power, then the individual characteristics of the university principal are expanded from a plurality of dimensions, and the influence of the various dimensions on the competitiveness of the university is analyzed by using a variety of theories, and a sufficient theoretical support is provided for the follow-up measurement research of the article, At the same time, the corresponding theoretical hypothesis is put forward. The following is the part of the empirical analysis. In this paper, the corresponding descriptive statistics of the university and its principal in the selected sample are carried out, and the ranking changes of all aspects of the university, the personal characteristics and the alternate communication of the university principal are analyzed and analyzed, a series of regression analysis is carried out, and finally, The university principal has the function of promoting the development of the university's competitive power, and the change of the president of the university will have a negative effect on the academic level of the university, and the other features of the university principal, such as age, term of office, academic status, etc., There is no significant impact on the level of the university's competitiveness. Next, we analyze the relationship between the party secretary of the university and the competitive power of the university, and find out that the individual characteristics of the party secretary of the university have no significant influence on the university's competitiveness. Finally, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy suggestions for the above conclusions.
