自主性与减轻测试焦虑感

随着人文主义和认知科学的发展,人们越来越注重学习者在外语学习中的中心地位。不仅注重他们的学习需求,而且注重他们的情感需求。测试焦虑感作为一种普遍存在的消极心理因素,影响着受试者的测试行为和测试结果。这和人文主义观点背道而驰。因此研究者应当对其有足够的重视,并将其降至最低限度。 本文从测试设计者的角度出发,研究增加受试者的自主选择性是否有助于降低他们的焦虑感。在认知-注意理论和信息利用假说的基础上,本文作者设计了自我适应性测试,给予受试者较多自主选择性,分别施用于阅读测试和写作测试。实验结果支持作者的假设,即自主选择性有助于减轻受试者的测试焦虑感,改善他们的测试行为,使测试结果更真实有效的体现受试者的语言能力,而且男女生均有不同程度的获益。
