【摘要】：本杰明·富兰克林是十八世纪美洲伟大的政治家、科学家、文学家，，在美国历史上颇具影响力，是美国独立运动中的著名领袖人物之一，被美国人敬为“国父”，百元美钞上所印刷的就是本杰明·富兰克林的头像。作为一位从清教时代向启蒙时代过渡的人物，本杰明富兰克林在政治、科学、经济、文学等方面的贡献为大家所熟知，事实上他在教育方面也颇有建树，本杰明·富兰克林对促进北美殖民地时期费城教育事业的发展做出了巨大贡献，算得上是一位杰出的教育家。著名的常春藤盟校之一——坐落于美国费城的宾西法尼亚大学，其校园里随处可见本杰明·富兰克林的雕塑，每一个宾大人都以本杰明·富兰克林为荣，因为久负盛名的宾夕法尼亚大学正是由本杰明·富兰克林所组织创办的殖民地学院——费城学院发展而来的。众所周知，美国的高等教育源于宗教。殖民地学院的创建大多出于宗教目的，并或多或少地受各教派的控制。随着宗教大觉醒运动的发展，殖民地后期所创办的学院其宗教性逐渐减弱，学校的教学课程更多地表现出服务社会的世俗性特点，尤其以本杰明·富兰克林所创办的这所不属于任何教派的费城学院为代表。全文共五章，第一章引言，陈述选题缘由、意义、文献综述以及研究方法，为本研究做铺垫。第二章阐明创办费城学院的文化背景。第三章着重论述费城专科学校的创建过程。第四章论述专科学校升级费城学院的经过。第五章阐述费城学院的建校意义及富兰克林办学思想的影响。本文通过搜集、整理、分析、比较有关著作论文与相关文献，反思本杰明·富兰克林办学思想的历史价值、理论价值和现实实践价值，对深化我国教育研究、改革办学模式、推动办学实践具有启发意义。
[Abstract]:Benjamin Franklin, a great American statesman, scientist, writer and influential figure in American history, was one of the leading figures in the American independence movement.What was printed on the hundred dollar bill was the portrait of Benjamin Franklin.As a figure in the transition from Puritanism to enlightenment, Benjamin Franklin's contributions to politics, science, economics, literature and so on were well known, and in fact he was quite successful in education.Benjamin Franklin was an outstanding educator for his great contribution to the development of education in Philadelphia during the colonial period of North America.One of the most famous Ivy League schools is located at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA. The campus of Benjamin Franklin is full of sculptures of Benjamin Franklin, and everyone is proud of Benjamin Franklin.Because the prestigious University of Pennsylvania was founded by Benjamin Franklin's colonial college, Philadelphia College.As we all know, higher education in the United States is derived from religion.Colonial colleges were founded mostly for religious purposes and were more or less controlled by various denominations.With the development of the Great religious Awakening Movement, the religious character of the college established in the later period of the colony gradually weakened, and the teaching curriculum of the school showed more secular characteristics of serving the society.Represented, in particular, by the Philadelphia College, founded by Benjamin Franklin, which does not belong to any denomination.The first chapter introduces the reason, significance, literature review and research methods of the topic.Chapter two clarifies the cultural background of the establishment of Philadelphia College.Chapter three focuses on the establishment process of Philadelphia College.The fourth chapter discusses the process of upgrading the college to Philadelphia College.Chapter five expounds the significance of Philadelphia College and the influence of Franklin's thought on running school.By collecting, arranging, analyzing and comparing the relevant works and papers, this paper reflects on the historical value, theoretical value and practical value of Benjamin Franklin's thought on running a school, which is helpful to deepen the educational research and reform the mode of running a school in China.It is instructive to promote the practice of running a school.
