音乐数字化下的商业模式创新

音频压缩格式和网路技术的成熟应用打破了传统音乐行业以唱片公司为核心的格局。自从Napster网站的出现,层出不穷的免费点对点的文件传输和共享网络在不显著影响音乐欣赏质量的前提下大大降低了复制和传输的边际成本,此外,匿名的系统减少了下载者可能需要承担的侵权的法律风险和惩罚成本。当消费者享受免费音乐和便利下载的时候,传统的音乐行业却经历了唱片销售量的大幅下降。唱片公司失去了对音乐制品的分销的控制权,基于版权保护的商业模式受到了严峻的挑战。唱片公司和行业协会采取各种方式反对“非法下载”和“电子盗版”,主要通过法律和技术两种途径来实现,包括向侵权的公司和个人用户提起诉讼,向政府积极游说加强版权法规和执行,实施电子版权管理(DRM)保护等。然而,宽带的普及和电子技术的发展同时也为音乐行业创造了新的利润增长点和发展空间(主要是在线音乐和移动业务)。从苹果的iTUNES Music Store和iPod的畅销,诺基亚Ovi手机音乐下载门户网站的出现,标志着音乐数字化时代的到来,技术让消费者随时、随地享受到音乐成为一种可能。本文试图通过企业、市场和技术三者之间动态的作用与关系为视角,以iTUNE Mu...
