[Abstract]:With the development of global economy, the international community pays more and more attention to climate change, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions has become an important task for all countries. Textiles are one of China's most competitive exports. Since 2000, the international market share of Chinese textiles has exceeded 10%, ranking first in the world. Although China's textile import and export trade has brought a lot of employment opportunities, increased the trade surplus, but also consumed a lot of resources and seriously polluted the environment. From the perspective of low-carbon economy and different international carbon abatement responsibilities, the textile industry should be given sufficient attention. This is not only conducive to a clearer understanding of the actual consumption of carbon emissions and carbon emissions transfer through international trade, but also conducive to a re-examination of each country's carbon reduction responsibilities. This paper first analyzes the output, export trade and environmental behavior of Chinese textiles, and then uses input-output method to evaluate the implied carbon content in China's textile export trade from 1995 to 2011. An econometric model was established to analyze the influencing factors of implied carbon in textile export trade. The results show that there is a significant regression relationship between implied carbon in textile export trade and textile exports, textile energy consumption and the contribution rate of chemical industry to textile output. For each increase of China's textile export trade volume, the average increase rate of implied carbon emissions is 0.37; the elastic coefficient of energy consumption is 0.36; the contribution rate of chemical industry to textile output increases by 1 percent, and the implied carbon emissions of textiles increase by 1.41 percent.
