贸易自由化与减贫基于发展中国家间的比较研究

　　本文研究发展中国家的贸易自由化与贫困之间的关系。按照经济平均增长率、开放水平、收入水平的差异以及地理位置将样本划分为11个子样本。研究中,我们使用绝对贫困指标,包括贫困人口率(贫困水平)、贫困深度(贫困差距)以及贫困差距的平方(贫困程度)。本文运用了六种不同指标代表贸易开放、贸易份额以及贸易政策,并分析贫困与贸易之间可能的关系。我们发现在发展中国家全样本范围内贸易与贫困成负相关,但是由于关税、贸易限制与贸易政策的不同在国家间这种负相关的关系是不成立的。本文检验了贸易引起增长以及增长减少贫困这种普遍观点,我们发现贸易自由化与增长之间以及经济增长与贫困减少之间均为显著的正相关关系。这些结论与以前Levine&Renelt (1992), Taylor (1998), Wacziarg (2001), Dollar&Kraay (2002)的相关研究结论一致,但是与Rodriguez and Rodrik (2001)的结论不同,他们认为贸易自由化与贫困无关。本文分析显示在快速增长的经济体中贸易开放与经济增长呈正相关关系,与此同时在低增长的发展中国家,贸易开放与绝对贫困呈显著...
