Escalation of Commitment in Projects from the Perspective of

  当项目管理者面对一项将要失败的项目时,通常需要做出是否进一步提高投入的承诺。本论文拟研究项目完工程度和管理者心理因素对于项目管理者承诺升级(escalation of commitment)行为的影响。虽然已经有很多理论解释承诺升级的问题,但目前为止从心理动机理论的角度进行的研究尚不深入。本文基于Higgins (1997)的调节点理论(Regulatory Focus theory),用实证检验的方法探讨这一问题。Higgins(1997,1998)的调节点理论认为,个体有两种明显不同的自我管理点,来促使行为和目标一致,分别是提升调节点(promotion)和防御调节点(prevention)。处于提升调节点的个体会更关心效用的提升,对项目潜在的正面结果(项目潜在的收益)更加敏感,并且倾向于用激进的方法追求目标。而处于防御调节点的个体更关心安全性,对于潜在的负面结果(项目潜在的损失)更敏感,同时倾向于用保守的方法的追求目标。如果管理者的调节点不同,可能会导致其行为表现不同。本研究设计中,所有被试者都面对一个将要失败的项目方案,本文通过观测具有不同调节点的被试者其行为决策的不同来得到结...
