Factors Behind Failure of FedEx in Chinese Local Market

  中国物流业随着中国经济的腾飞也发生了天翻复地的变化,新的民营快递企业迅速发展起来。中国政府从政策制定、标准推行、信息化等多个层面对物流业的持续发展进行了良好的引导。联邦快递作为最早进入中国市场的物流企业,曾被列为中国十大物流公司之一,在发展初期对中国物流企业也起到了引导性作用,很多中国物流企业学习和借鉴其成功经验。但近些年,包括联邦快递在内的国外物流企业市场份额极具缩小,部分甚至退出中国市场。本文主要以联邦快递为研究对象,对比中国物流企业发展的现状,对其在中国市场失败的原因进行详细分析,并针对外国跨国公司可能取得的成功因素进行研究。本论文研究表明:联邦快递在中国失败的原因主要包括文化差异(在客户行为方面)、语言差异(在中文网站管理、营销、广告和推广方面)、中国国内规章制度(在国内政策方面)、市场竞争(与国内物流公司的竞争)、市场需求(在国内政策方面)。ARGES和优质服务),以及供应和连锁管理(在中国大领土管辖范围内的任何地区的快速安全交付方面)等方面。结合失败原因,本文给出未来其他跨国企业进入中国市场的建议。
