【摘要】：本文在城市水平上检验了大型外资零售商的进入对地区就业的影响。使用2000—2006年的城市面板数据,本文发现大型零售商在进入当年对批发和零售部门以及其他相关部门的就业均有显著的正向影响。然而,对批发和零售部门就业的影响在随后的几年中转为显著为负,表明可能有小的零售商在大型零售商进入后被挤出。使用中国营养与健康调查数据得到的实证结果支持了这一解释。
[Abstract]:This paper examines the impact of the entry of large foreign retailers on regional employment at the urban level using urban panel data from 2000 to 2006. This paper finds that large retailers have a significant positive impact on the employment of wholesale and retail sectors as well as other relevant sectors in the year of entry. The impact on employment in the wholesale and retail sectors turned significantly negative in the following years. This suggests that small retailers may be squeezed out after large retailers enter. Empirical results using data from the China Nutrition and Health Survey support this explanation.
