【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译报告,建立于作者对Scotland-A Very Short Introduction(《苏格兰简介》)一书第一、五、七章的翻译实践基础之上。《苏格兰简介》是牛津通识读本系列丛书中的一本,该系列丛书旨在用最平实的语言让读者有效地在短时间内有效地了解一个全新的国家或领域。Scotland-A Very Short Introduction目前尚无汉语译本。该文本属于文化类书籍,运用了大量句式结构严谨的长句,有较多的文化、地理、政治方面的词汇,同时还涉及一些非通用语言翻译。笔者节选了原文本的第一、五和七章进行翻译实践,初步了解了苏格兰的政治、经济和文化等基本概况。笔者借助文本功能分类理论、功能对等、目的论等翻译理论对翻译文本进行分析探索,并相应采取了直译、意译、拆分法、增译与省译等翻译方法。本报告包括四个部分。第一章为任务描述部分,包括作者简介、材料描述等内容;同时,简要介绍了此次翻译的目的和意义在于了解苏格兰,为对苏格兰感兴趣的人提供途径;锻炼翻译实践能力,提高语言水平;为相关研究提供一些参考和借鉴;第二章对翻译过程的简要介绍,包括译前准备、翻译过程中遇到的困难等;第三章为本报告的重点,即案例分析部分,本章理论联系实践,结合案例,分析翻译任务进行过程中遇到的翻译难点与解决问题时所用到的翻译技巧。最后结论部分作者总结了在翻译Scotland-A Very Short Introduction(节选)过程中的心得以及有待解决的问题,希望能为翻译硕士专业学生学习翻译提出一些建议。
[Abstract]:This paper is a translation report based on the author's translation practice of chapters I, V and VII of Scotland-A Very Short Introduction( 's introduction to Scotland. The series is designed to provide readers with the most prosaic language to effectively understand a new country or territory, Scotland-A Very Short Introduction, in a short period of time. This text belongs to the cultural category books, uses a large number of sentence structure rigorous long sentences, has more cultural, geographical, political vocabulary, but also involves some non-universal language translation. The author extracts the first, fifth and seventh chapters of the original text for translation practice, and a preliminary understanding of Scotland's political, economic and cultural basic situation. With the help of functional classification theory, functional equivalence and Skopos theory, the author analyzes and explores the translation of the translated text, and adopts some translation methods, such as literal translation, free translation, split translation, incremental translation and saving translation. The present report consists of four parts. The first chapter is the part of mission description, including the author's brief introduction, material description and so on. At the same time, it briefly introduces the purpose and significance of this translation to understand Scotland, to provide a way for people interested in Scotland, to exercise the practical ability of translation. To improve language proficiency; to provide some references for relevant studies; chapter two gives a brief introduction to the translation process, including pre-translation preparation, difficulties encountered in the translation process, etc. The third chapter is the focus of this report, which is the case study. Combining theory with practice, this chapter analyzes the translation difficulties encountered in the process of translation task and the translation skills used in solving the problem. Finally, the author summarizes the experience and problems in the translation of Scotland-A Very Short introduction, and hopes to provide some suggestions for the students majoring in translation.
