【摘要】：法国数学家格罗滕迪克被公认为20世纪最伟大的数学家之一。他出身贫寒主要依靠自学,却在泛函分析和代数几何领域做出了划时代的伟大贡献。40岁以后他开始从事反战等政治活动,逐渐放弃数学研究乃至完全脱离学术界。考察这样一位科学家,对于揭示科学与社会关系的本质,或许不无启发。
[Abstract]:French mathematician Grotendick is recognized as one of the greatest mathematicians of the 20 th century. He was born poor and mainly relied on self-study, but made great contributions in the field of functional analysis and algebra geometry. After the age of 40, he began to engage in anti-war and other political activities, gradually giving up mathematical research and even completely separated from academia. It may be enlightening to examine such a scientist to reveal the nature of science and social relations.
