【摘要】：在中国，男孩的家长通常会在男孩结婚前为他的孩子准备一套房子，，本文通过构建Probit模型，研究孩子性别对买房决策的影响。本文数据来源于中国家庭金融调查所得，以是否有房及是否有第二套房子为应变量，对家庭年收入，户主年龄，学历，省份做Probit回归，研究表明，男孩对家庭购买一套房子的决策无影响，但会增加家庭购买二套房、三套房的可能性。此外，男孩的家庭为了买更多套的房子，往往只能选择单价相对便宜的房子。
