太平洋战争时期美国对华宣传塑造的美国形象

【摘要】:对外宣传是国家塑造海外形象、推进外交政策的重要方式。太平洋战争期间,美国官方宣传机构战争信息署在中国开展了大规模的宣传活动,旨在鼓舞中国士气和增进中美友好的同时,输出美式价值观和国际共同体理念。它通过报纸、图片展、电影和广播等媒介,把美国描绘成"自由民主的典范"、"国际主义斗士"和"中国人的忠实盟友",并刻意隐藏了国内的种族问题。为了满足宣传需求和促进美国对华外交,战争信息署的对华宣传过度美化美国的国家形象,夸大了美国援助的效力,但在一定程度上也增进了中国人对美国的认知,促进了战时的中美合作。
[Abstract]:Foreign propaganda is an important way for the country to shape its overseas image and promote its foreign policy. During the Pacific War, the War Information Agency, the US official propaganda agency, launched a large-scale propaganda campaign in China to boost Chinese morale and promote Sino-American friendship, while exporting American values and the concept of international community. It portrays the United States as a "model of liberal democracy", "internationalist fighters" and "loyal allies of the Chinese" through newspapers, photo shows, films and radio, and deliberately conceals racial problems at home. In order to meet the demand for propaganda and promote US diplomacy with China, the propaganda of the War Information Agency to China excessively beautified the national image of the United States and exaggerated the effectiveness of US aid, but to a certain extent it also enhanced the Chinese people's understanding of the United States. It promoted the cooperation between China and the United States in wartime.
