[Abstract]:The purpose of this paper is to break through the traditional view that "King Philip" war machinery is included in the history of the United States, to bypass the idea of defining it simply as a colonial war, and to try to examine the origin of the conflict from the angle of ethnic conflict and from the perspective of constructivism. This article mainly adopts three kinds of research methods: 1. Historical methods to collect historical data, both Chinese and English materials have a certain use, including some primary materials. 2. Drawing lessons from Alexander Winter's constructivism theory, taking exploring the origin of King Philip War as the main axis, taking the contradiction of two ethnic groups as the clue, the three logical branches of culture, power and the interaction between the subject and the power are established. Thus constitute the main frame of the article. Draw lessons from anthropology theory in key concepts and some specific problems, especially Blomleyi's "ethnic group" theory. The main point and innovation of this paper lies in two aspects: 1. In the definition of the basic concept, the author defines the two parties involved in the "King Philip" War as the two major groups in New England: Aboriginal and WASP. In conclusion, this paper argues that the "King Philip" war is the result of the inter-ethnic social system constructed by these two groups in New England. The constructive function of the system is the root of the war. It includes three aspects: cultural factor, material factor and interaction between subjects.
