[Abstract]:In early North America, white family life varied in time and space. Almost throughout the 17th century, there were regional differences and temporal changes in the demographic conditions of white families. Upper South, the first colony established by British colonists, stable families did not emerge until the end of the 17 th century. New England started with a stable family. The white population in the central and upper south is diverse. In the 18th century, the population of the colonies gradually depended on natural growth, which meant that the population conditions for the family were in a normal state. By this time, the colonies had clearly demonstrated three ways to enter into marriage. In early America, the family was a unit of production, divided into farming and plantation families. There are huge differences in the level of consumption and material enjoyment between rich and poor families. The size of the family is gradually shrinking. Children are educated in their respective families, and their educational concepts are increasingly humanized. White society has ideal family standards for marital relationships. But in real life, everyone has their own special experience. The thesis is divided into three parts: the first part examines the basic status of the marriage population of British colonies in North America. Then, discuss the different ways of getting married. The second part analyzes the material production and living consumption of the family, and discusses the upbringing of the children of the colonial residents. The third part discusses the colonial residents' understanding of the relationship between husband and wife and their feelings of real life.
