[Abstract]:Emotion plays an important role in the process of moral judgment, and different emotional states can influence individual moral judgment. In the previous studies on the influence of emotion on moral judgment, researchers mostly explore the influence of emotion on moral judgment by directly inducing the corresponding emotional states of subjects, but do not use moral dilemma stories. Character emotions in the moral dilemma are studied in this paper, so we will explore the influence of the protagonist's emotions on individual moral judgment by using the characters'emotions in the moral dilemma.
This study mainly explores whether the protagonist's emotional state before decision-making, the emotional state after decision-making, and the transition of emotional state before and after decision-making will affect the individual's moral judgment when the moral behavior implementer is the protagonist in the story. For the influence of moral judgment, a two-factor mixed experimental design was adopted, in which three emotional types (pleasure group, sadness group, control group) and two emotional types (moral dilemma type: "personal moral dilemma", "non-personal moral dilemma") were used. Among them, the variables between subjects were the emotional types of the implementers of moral behavior before decision-making, the internal variables were the types of moral dilemma, and the dependent variables were the extent to which the subjects'judgments of utilitarianism violated morality. (post-decision moral behavior implementers'emotional types: pleasure group, pain group, control group)*2 (moral dilemma type: personal moral dilemma, non-personal moral dilemma) two-factor mixed experimental design. The independent variables were the emotional type and moral dilemma type of post-decision moral behavior implementers. Among them, the variables were decision-making hindsight. In the third experiment, the influence of protagonist's emotion on moral judgment was discussed from the point of view of mood state transition before and after decision-making, and the effect of protagonist's emotion on moral judgment was studied by using 5 (moral behavior implementer's mood transition) Change type: Sadness to Pain group, Sadness to Pleasure group, Pleasure to Pain group, Pleasure to Pleasure group, Control group *2 (moral dilemma type: personal moral dilemma), non-personal moral dilemma) two-factor mixed experimental design, independent variables for moral behavior to implement the type of human emotional change and moral dilemma type, among which the subjects changed. Quantity is the type of emotional transformation of moral behavior implementers, the internal variables are the type of moral dilemma, and the dependent variables are the degree to which the subjects'utilitarian judgments violate moral standards.
The second study explored whether the protagonist's emotional state had an effect on the individual's moral judgment when the rescued person was the main character, consisting of an experiment. Moral dilemma type: personal moral dilemma and non-personal moral dilemma. The independent variables were the emotional type and moral dilemma type of the rescued. The variables between the rescued were the emotional type of the rescued, the internal variables were the moral dilemma type, and the dependent variable was the possibility of utilitarian judgment. Score.
The third study explored whether the emotional state of the protagonist affected the moral judgment of the individual when the victim was the hero in the story, consisting of an experiment. Dilemma type: Personal moral dilemma and non-personal moral dilemma. The independent variables were sacrificial emotional type and moral dilemma type. The variables between the subjects were sacrificial emotional type, the variables within the subjects were moral dilemma type, and the dependent variables were the evaluation of the possibility of utilitarian judgment.
The following conclusions can be drawn from three studies: (1) The protagonist's emotions affect moral judgment. The implementer of moral behavior is in a state of sadness before decision-making and in a state of pain after decision-making. The possibility of utilitarian judgment increased when the victim was in the state of pleasure, and the possibility of utilitarian judgment increased when the victim was in the state of pleasure. (2) The types of moral dilemma would affect the moral judgment. Compared with the non-personal moral dilemma, the subjects'evaluation of the choice of utilitarian judgment of "personal moral dilemma" was more unethical and unethical. And the possibility of choosing utilitarian judgment in the "personal moral dilemma" is less; (3) the influence of the protagonist's emotions on moral judgment will be different because of the different occasions in which the protagonist's emotions appear in the story, and will be different because of the different changes in the protagonist's emotions; (4) positive and negative emotions will be different because of the referent. It has different effects on moral judgment to different protagonists.
