略论汉传中观学的三期发展

【摘要】：中观派是印度大乘佛教的第一个派别,与唯识并称为佛教的两大基本流派。传入西藏后被藏传佛教尊为正见,在修行次第上将中观看作比唯识更高的层次,给予了充分的重视。相比较在印度和西藏的情况,中观学在汉传佛教中从未成为主流,直接发扬中观学的三论宗也是流传短暂,究竟中观学在中国佛教的历史中是如何发展的呢?综观整个中观学在汉地的发展,可以分为三个时期:形成时期,这一时期主要进行翻译,并在翻译的过程中初步确定诠释框架,罗什僧肇等人都是以"有""无"等范畴展开对"空"的阐述。第二个时期是发展时期,这一时期主要是对汉传中观范畴及体系的完善,以吉藏为代表的三论宗以"破邪显正"展开其思想体系。第三个时期是复兴时期,由于会昌法难等原因,三论宗很快消亡,直到民国时期,三论典籍从日本传回,藏传中观学从藏地传入,基于这两个契机,印顺巨赞欧阳竞无法尊熊十力观空等人关于中观学的研究与讨论使中观学进入了一个新的时期。
