存神过化与修行动力学——以近现代济度宗教团体为例

【摘要】:"修行人类学"是中国宗教人类学者提出的最新研究范畴,旨在探寻人类学的宗教研究之新进路,即以内部性理解的视角,去反思宗教人或信仰者自身的文化习得机制或信仰的内在动力,从而为中国的宗教人类学提出一个具有普世性和关键性的话语构建。中国近现代民间教派(道门、教门)思潮是一种以复兴或传承传统文化为主导的宗教本土运动,具有典型的"家族相似性"和"济度宗教"(salvationist religions)的精神气质。从修行人类学的视角观之,道门或教门之有效存续和持续成长的弘道动力,主要来自于一种以"救劫"、"济度"(济世度人)为主导的修行传统。中国宗教谱系自身的传播方式,并非仅仅是西方式的"传教模式",而是带有"存神过化"(道化)特征的"修行模式",遵循"礼不往教"的"化育"的原则。济度宗教反复提撕"道化"(道降庶民)的范畴,充分反映了它们对于"正统化"的文化诉求和"文明化"的价值想象。讨论济度宗教"存神过化"的方式、特性、结果,有助于综合思考中国精神世界中的修行模式及其超越性的意义。
[Abstract]:"Anthropology of practice" is the latest research category put forward by Chinese religious anthropologists, which aims to explore a new approach to the study of religion in anthropology, that is, from the perspective of internal understanding. To reflect on the internal motivation of religious or religious people's own cultural acquisition mechanism or belief, and thus to put forward a universal and critical discourse construction for religious anthropology in China. The trend of thought of Chinese folk sects in modern times is a kind of local religious movement dominated by reviving or inheriting traditional culture. It has the spiritual temperament of "family similarity" and "Jidu religion". From the perspective of spiritual anthropology, the motive force of the effective existence and continuous growth of Taoism or teaching comes mainly from a spiritual tradition dominated by "salvation" and "altruism". The dissemination of Chinese religious genealogy itself is not only a "missionary mode" of the western way, but a "spiritual mode" with the characteristic of "keeping the spirit over the Taoism" and follows the principle of "not to teach" by the principle of "courtesy does not go to the teaching". The repeated mention of the category of "Taoism" reflects their cultural appeal for "orthodoxy" and the value imagination of "civilizing". The discussion of the way, characteristics and results of the religion of Jidu is helpful to the thinking of the spiritual practice mode and its transcendence in the spiritual world of China.
