本色与合作:1922年上海全国基督教大会研究

【摘要】:1922年上海全国基督教大会召开于5月2日至5月11日。本次大会以区别于晚清三次全国基督教大会的突出特点,在中国基督教史上占据着重要地位。它不仅标志着中国基督教事业的不断发展,表现了华人在中国教会中逐渐增大的影响力,也预示着中国基督徒在本色化和合一方面的进一步追求。本文意在从大会本身入手,着重关注大会召开过程中对布道、医疗、教育、文字、妇女等方面的演说与具体讨论,追溯本色化理论首次在中国基督教界的提出,寻找合作与合一理念的踪迹,并进一步了解与认识1922年大会的历史地位与价值。整篇论文分为六个部分。第一章简介1922年全国大会召开的背景和原因。此次大会是在内外因素联合推动下举办的,其中外部推动力包括五四新文化运动和非基运动的影响,而内部因素包括基督教的集会传统、20世纪以来中国基督教的巨大进步和不足以及基督徒的自我觉醒。第二章介绍了大会筹备与召开的过程,与会人员的情况,以及大会对核心理念的提出与讨论。第三章概述了作为大会重要成果的中华全国基督教协进会。重点包括第一,中华续行委办会的组建、组织方式及主要贡献;第二,大会就是否组建与如何组建协进会进行了讨论。这一过程集中体现了本色与合作理念;第三,协进会组建后的主要活动与重要作用。第四章专论大会如何对传统基督教事工进行本色化改造,以及如何使基督教深入参与工业经济和社会道德改良的具体方案。这些详细的计划突出展现了中国基督徒对本色化的追求和对联合之必要性的认识。第五章突出了大会对培养与利用中国本土精英的建议。中国基督教事业发展缓慢,其中一个原因就是缺少中国教会领袖。因此大会详细讨论了中国领袖的现状和未来培养的计划,彰显了本色与合作的理念。第六章总结了大会的历史定位,并整理了时人和后人对大会的评价。总体而论,本文紧紧围绕大会的筹备与召开过程,既研究了大会的组织概况,又探索了大会对本色与合作核心理念地体现与讨论。1922年上海全国基督教大会有效回应了 20世纪20年代的时局,在延续前三次基督教大会的基础上,首次直接提出了建立“中国教会”的本色化理念。这是20世纪20年代之前本色与合一实践的总结与升华,同时也推动了 20年代后本色化运动的开展,加速了基督教各宗派内外地联合。可见,此次大会在中国基督教史上具有不可忽略作用与难以取代的地位。
[Abstract]:The National Christian Congress in Shanghai, 1922, was held from May 2 to May 11. Distinguished from the three national Christian congresses in the late Qing Dynasty, the Congress occupies an important position in the history of Chinese Christianity. It not only symbolizes the continuous development of Chinese Christian cause, but also indicates the further pursuit of Chinese Christians in the aspect of identity and unity. The purpose of this paper is to focus on the speeches and specific discussions on sermons, medical treatment, education, writing, women and so on in the course of the Congress itself, and trace back to the first time that the theory of indigenization was put forward in the Christian circles of China. To find the trace of the idea of cooperation and unity, and further understand and understand the historical status and value of the 1922 Congress. The whole paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter introduces the background and reasons of the National Congress in 1922. The conference was held under the joint promotion of internal and external factors, among which the external impetus included the influence of the May 4th New Culture Movement and the Non-Foundation Movement. The internal factors include the Christian tradition of assembly and the great progress and deficiency of Chinese Christianity since the 20th century, as well as the self-awakening of Christians. The second chapter introduces the process of preparing and holding the Congress, the participants' situation, and the proposal and discussion of the core idea of the Congress. Chapter three summarizes the All-China Council of Churches as an important achievement of the Congress. The main points are as follows: first, the organization, organization and main contribution of the CCO; second, the discussion on whether to form and how to form the CCCC. This process embodies the essence and cooperation concept; third, the main activities and important role of the Association after its establishment. The fourth chapter is about how to transform the traditional Christian ministry and how to make Christianity participate in the industrial economy and social moral improvement. These detailed plans highlight the Chinese Christians' pursuit of indigenization and the need for union. The fifth chapter highlights the recommendations of the General Assembly on the cultivation and utilization of China's local elite. One reason for the slow growth of China's Christian cause is the lack of Chinese church leaders. Therefore, the meeting discussed in detail the present situation and future training plan of Chinese leaders, and demonstrated the essence and the concept of cooperation. The sixth chapter summarizes the historical position of the Congress, and collates the evaluation of the Congress. In general, this paper focuses on the preparation and holding of the Congress, and studies the organization of the Congress. The National Christian Congress of Shanghai in 1922 effectively responded to the current situation in the 1920s and continued the previous three Christian congresses. For the first time, the author put forward the idea of establishing the Chinese Church. This is the summary and sublimation of the practice of identity and unity before the 1920s. It also promoted the development of the post-1920s movement of identity and accelerated the combination of different Christian sects. It can be seen that the Congress in the history of Chinese Christianity can not be ignored and difficult to replace the status.
