【摘要】：此次翻译实践项目的材料是美国作家Dorothy Bullitt所著的书籍Filling the Void,翻译范围是从第一章到第三章。英汉两种语言存在很多差异,在翻译的过程中笔者遇到了大量的定语从句,一共有107处之多,如何准确理解这些定语从句的意思并将其翻译成通顺地道的中文是一大难点。笔者在本研究报告中对其进行了深入的分析和探讨。本文采用的研究方法为案例研究法。笔者认真收集了翻译材料中所有的定语从句并从中选取了一些作为例句。然后参考叶子南、吕叔湘、彭萍和孙致礼等人的翻译原则和方法结合具体的实例,对不同类型定语从句的翻译进行了深入的分析和探讨,并做了归纳和总结。通过分析,笔者发现本次翻译实践项目中的定语从句主要适用于四种翻译方法。他们分别是:译为前置定语、译为并列分句、译为合成独立句、以及状化译法,其中,译为前置定语的方法是应用比例最高的方法。译者在翻译定语从句时要仔细理解原文的意思,判断定语从句与主语之间是否存在表原因、条件、结果等的逻辑关系,然后要根据定语从句的篇幅、先行词本身的修饰语以及具体语境灵活使用翻译策略,使译文通顺简洁。
[Abstract]:This translation project material is written by American writer Dorothy Bullitt Filling the Void books, translation range is from the first chapter to the third chapter. There are many differences between the two languages in the process of translation, the author met a large number of attributive clauses, a total of 107 place, how to accurately understand the attributive clause the meaning and its translation into fluent idiomatic Chinese is difficult. The author in this report has carried on the thorough analysis and discussion. The method used in this paper is the case study. The author collected the translation materials all the attributive clause and chooses some as examples. Then referring to Ye Zinan Lv Shuxiang, translation principles and methods of Peng Ping and sun Zhili et al with examples of different types of translation of attributive clauses are analyzed and discussed, and summarizes the Conclusion. Through the analysis, the author found that the translation project in the attributive clause is mainly applicable to the four translation methods. They are: the pre modification, to coordinate clause, for synthesis of independent sentence, and the shape of translation, the translation method for pre modifier is applied with the highest proportion of. In the translation of attributive clauses to carefully understand the meaning of the original judgment, between the attributive clause and subject existence table reasons, conditions, results of the logical relationship, then according to the length of the attributive clause, first modifier word itself in the specific context and flexible translation strategies, make the translation smooth and concise.
