【摘要】:本文为一篇翻译项目报告,原文选自美国高等教育资深工作者杰弗里·J·塞灵格(Jeffrey J.Selingo)2013年所著的《在线教育:高等教育的未来及其对学生的意义》(College(Un)bound:The Future of Higher Education and What It Means for Students)的第四章。该书是一本讨论美国高等教育现状及未来的著作,其第四章列举了导致美国高等教育体系崩溃的五大因素。原文本翻译涉及美国的教育现状及背景,要求译者具备较丰富的跨文化背景知识、夯实的英汉语语言功底,以翻译理论为支撑依据,结合翻译文本类型采取适切的翻译方法与策略。《在线教育:高等教育的未来及其对学生的意义》第四章属于信息类文本,译者在翻译过程中以尤金·奈达的功能对等理论为指导,主要针对专有名词和长句的翻译处理进行分析,以实例说明了翻译过程中遇到的困难和相应的解决措施,力求实现最佳的交际效果和最接近的、自然的功能对等。报告总结了译者在该项目中所获得的经验和教训,以期在信息类文本的翻译过程中积累更丰富的翻译实践经验。
[Abstract]:This is a translation project report. Original by Jeffrey J. Selingoo, senior American higher education worker. Online Education: the Future of higher Education and its implications for students, 2013. (bound:The Future of Higher Education and What it Means for students). Chapter 4th. The book is a book on the current state and future of higher education in the United states. Chapter 4th lists five factors that lead to the collapse of the American higher education system. The original text translation involves the current educational situation and background of the United States and requires the translator to have rich cross-cultural background knowledge. The solid foundation of English and Chinese language is based on translation theory. "online Education: the Future of higher Education and its implications for students." Chapter 4th belongs to informational texts. Guided by Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory, translators analyze the translation of proper nouns and long sentences. Examples are given to illustrate the difficulties encountered in the process of translation and the corresponding solutions to achieve the best communicative effect and closest to each other. Natural functional equivalence. The report summarizes the experience and lessons learned by the translator in this project with a view to accumulating more practical experience in the translation of informative texts.
