【摘要】：本次翻译实践选自赛·蒙哥马利的《章鱼的灵魂:探索章鱼奇妙的意识世界》第八章内容。书中,蒙哥马利探寻了章鱼的情感世界。《章鱼的灵魂:探索章鱼奇妙的意识世界》这本书是一部非小说类文学作品。本书荣获美国国家图书奖,是《纽约时报》畅销书之一。至目前为止国内没有正式出版的中文译本,因此本次翻译实践属于首次翻译,符合翻译报告的要求。在《章鱼的灵魂》这本书中,作者通过对章鱼生动鲜明的描写,向读者讲述了大量关于章鱼以及潜水的相关内容,能够让读者更加深入了解相关生物类知识并且开拓视野,同时,本书也展现出作者对章鱼深深的喜爱之情。对于译者自身而言,希望通过这一翻译实践,能够更深入的去了解非小说类文学作品,并且为此类题材作品的翻译提供参考。在翻译实践的过程中,译者通过对选文中的专有名词、有关章鱼的描写以及长难句的分析,讨论了在翻译实践中具体的翻译策略,进而撰写翻译实践报告。此外,译者还总结了在翻译实践过程中的不足之处以及未来翻译实践所要努力的方向。
[Abstract]:This translation practice is selected from the eighth chapter of Seth Montgomery's the Soul of the Octopus: exploring the wonderful World of consciousness of the Octopus. Montgomery explores the emotional world of the octopus. "the Soul of the Octopus: exploring the wonderful World of consciousness of the Octopus." this book is a non-fiction literary work. The book won the National Book Award. It is one of the best sellers of the New York Times. So far, there are no official Chinese translations published in China, so this translation practice is the first time and meets the requirements of the translation report. In this book, the Soul of the Octopus, By describing octopus vividly and vividly, the author tells readers a great deal about octopus and diving, which can help readers understand more about biology and broaden their horizons. This book also shows the author's deep love for octopus. For the translator himself, it is hoped that through this translation practice, he can get a deeper understanding of non-fiction literary works. In the process of translation practice, the translator discusses the specific translation strategies in translation practice by analyzing the proper nouns, the description of octopus and the long difficult sentences. In addition, the translator also summarizes the shortcomings in the process of translation practice and the direction of the future translation practice.
