新课标下PWP模式在高中英语阅读教学中的实证研究

【摘要】:在高中阶段,阅读教学是英语教学中重要的一部分,这一点可以从它在高考中所占的比例体现出来。然而,由于升学压力,高中英语阅读课堂仍然受传统的以教师为中心模式的影响,从而导致学生的英语阅读水平薄弱。因此,选择一种有效的英语阅读教学模式是必要的。基于新课程标准的PWP模式(阅读前,阅读中,阅读后),是自上而下模式、自下而上模式和交互模式的有效结合,主要是通过各种各样有趣的活动帮助学生更好的理解英语课文。本文在前人研究的基础上,通过问卷、实验和访谈的方式,并结合图式理论、建构主义理论、心理语言学和认知心理学等,探究PWP模式在英语阅读教学中的有效性。此实验主要探讨了三个研究问题:(1)高中生英语阅读学习现状如何?(2)PWP模式能否激发学生英语阅读学习的兴趣?(3)PWP模式能否有效地提高学生的英语阅读水平?本研究以辽宁省绥中县利伟高级中学高一年级两个平行班共84人作为研究对象,其中一班共42人作为实验班,另一班共42人作为控制班,进行了为期四个月的实验。实验班使用PWP模式而控制班使用传统的教学模式进行英语阅读教学。此次实验通过问卷和测试收集数据并用SPSS进行了统计与分析。根据数据分析结果,本研究发现:学生的英语阅读学习现状不容乐观。首先,大多数学生对英语阅读不感兴趣并且缺乏主动性。其次,学生的词汇量不够并且没有掌握一些有用的阅读技巧;此外,PWP模式可以激发学生英语阅读学习的兴趣;学生的英语阅读水平也通过PWP教学模式的使用而得到了切实的提高。因此,今后还需要更多的努力和研究来完善PWP模式在英语阅读教学中的应用。
[Abstract]:In senior high school, reading teaching is an important part of English teaching, which can be reflected in its proportion in college entrance examination. However, due to the pressure of higher education, the English reading classroom in senior high school is still influenced by the traditional teacher-centered model, which leads to the weakness of students' English reading level. Therefore, it is necessary to choose an effective English reading teaching mode. The PWP model based on the new curriculum standard (pre-reading, reading) is an effective combination of top-down mode, bottom-up model and interactive mode, mainly through a variety of interesting activities to help students better understand the English text. On the basis of previous studies, this paper explores the effectiveness of PWP model in English reading teaching by means of questionnaires, experiments and interviews, combined with schema theory, constructivism theory, psycholinguistics and cognitive psychology. This experiment mainly discusses three research questions: (1) what is the current situation of high school students' English reading learning? (2) can PWP model stimulate students' interest in English reading learning? (3) can PWP model effectively improve students' English reading proficiency? In this study, 84 students in two parallel classes of the first grade of Liwei Senior Middle School in Suizhong County, Liaoning Province, were taken as the subjects of the study, 42 students in the first class as the experimental class and the other class as the control class. The experiment was conducted for four months. The experimental class uses PWP mode while the control class uses the traditional teaching mode to teach English reading. The data were collected by questionnaires and tests and analyzed with SPSS. According to the results of data analysis, this study finds that the present situation of students' English reading learning is not optimistic. First of all, most students are not interested in English reading and lack initiative. Secondly, students' vocabulary is not enough and they do not master some useful reading skills, besides, PWP model can stimulate students' interest in English reading. Students' English reading level has also been improved by PWP teaching mode. Therefore, more efforts and research are needed to improve the application of PWP in English reading teaching.
