《安全管理操作须知》中无主句的英译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译实践报告主要讨论文本为某打捞局《安全管理操作须知》,系属局内部安全管理体系文件。该项目有一定的规模(需笔者翻译部分共计约15,000字),主要用于为公司员工提供各项作业和操作的规范以及内、外部审核。在翻译过程中,译者发现其中存在大量的无主句,而由于汉英两种语言在思维方式和句法结构上的差异,英语中并没有与之直接相对应的句子(祈使句除外),这类汉语无主句的翻译成为一个难点。本报告基于翻译目的论,根据个案分析和相关翻译经验的总结,最终采用"译为祈使句、译为被动句、采用it作形式主语、非主语成分转化成主语、运用there be句型以及添加适当主语"六种策略对该打捞局《安全管理操作须知》中无主句进行了英译。本次翻译任务不仅具有极强的实践性和需求性,同时对其无主句翻译策略的研究也可以为未来的海事方向体系文件中无主句的翻译实践提供借鉴。
[Abstract]:The translation practice report is mainly discussed in the text of a salvage bureau, which is a document of internal safety management system. The project has a certain scale (about 15000 words need to be translated by the author), which is mainly used to provide all kinds of operation and operation standard and internal and external audit for the company staff. In the process of translation, the translator finds that there are a large number of non-subjective sentences in them. However, due to the differences in the way of thinking and syntactic structures between Chinese and English, there are no direct corresponding sentences (except imperative sentences) in English. The translation of such Chinese subject-less sentences has become a difficulty. Based on the Skopos theory of translation, based on the case study and the summary of relevant translation experiences, this report finally adopts "translation as imperative sentence," as passive sentence, it as formal subject, and non-subject component as subject. In this paper, six strategies of there be sentence structure and appropriate subject are used to translate the non-subject sentence in the safe Management Operation of the salvage bureau. This translation task not only has a strong practicality and demand, but also provides a reference for the translation practice of the subject-free translation in the future maritime direction system documents.
